INFORMATION ON THE « CITE BARAKA » PROJECT

After the ceremony of launch of the works by the Minister of Urban Renewal, Habitat and Living Environment on March 15, 2018 in Baraka, the final adjustments are being made to start the actual construction.
In order to facilitate the movement and supply of the site with sand, cement, iron and other inputs, it is planned to move 26 households to the east and west of the construction site. SOREBA, a construction company is currently studying the case to see how to relocate these displaced populations in relation to the steering committee of the project « Cité Baraka ».

People are in a hurry to see their dreams become a reality.
This is motivated by a fire that ravaged the house of 2 households located in front of the primary school which part of the houses were bamboo.

These were the houses of Madame Fatou Sy and Fatoumata Sangaré. These two ladies are neighbors and the origin of the fire is unknown because no investigation was conducted.

The fire took place the night of 9 to 10 April 2018 and fortunately no loss in human life but the material damage is enormous.

All the small household appliances, furniture, beds, kitchen equipment and gas bottles were washed away.
The solidarity of the inhabitants of the neighborhood allowed the two ladies and their children to have clothes to wear as was the case for this lady above.

INFORMATION SUR LE PROJET « CITE BARAKA »

Après la cérémonie de lancement des travaux par le Ministre du Renouveau Urbain, de l’Habitat et du Cadre de Vie le 15 Mars 2018 à Baraka, les derniers réglages sont en train d’être faits pour démarrer la construction proprement dite.
En effet pour faciliter la circulation et l’approvisionnement du chantier en sable, ciment , fer et autres intrants, il est prévu de déplacer 26 ménages situés à l’est et à l’ouest du site de construction. La SOREBA, société de construction étudie en ce moment le dossier pour voir comment reloger ces populations déplacées en rapport avec le comité de pilotage du projet « Cité Baraka ».

Les populations sont quant à elles très pressées de voir leurs rêves devenir une réalité.
Cela est motivé par un incendie qui a ravagé la maison de 2 ménages situé en face de l’école primaire dont une partie des habitations étaient en bambou.

Il s’agissait des maisons de Madame Fatou Sy et de Fatoumata Sangaré. Ces deux dames sont voisines et l’origine de l’incendie est inconnue car aucune enquête n’a été menée.

L’incendie a eu lieu la nuit du 9 au 10 Avril 2018 et heureusement aucune perte en vie humaine mais les dégâts matériels sont énormes.

Tout le petit matériel électroménager, les meubles, les lits, les matériels de cuisines et les bouteilles de gaz ont été emportés par les flammes.
La solidarité des habitants du quartier a permis aux deux dames et leurs enfants d’avoir des habits à porter comme ce fut le cas pour cette dame ci dessus.
