The construction works will finally start in Baraka on the basis of the preliminary works of the architecture students of the Düsseldorf School of Art Peter Behrens and the Association of German Architects.

Baraka will completely change its face, the master plan, developed by German architecture students for a new district related to the needs of the population, « Baraka New » will open not only to its neighbors, but also to the outside .

A lottery was organized in September 2017 at the Town Hall of Sicap Liberté to choose the type of apartment and rules to read. And every family or representative with their national identity card was present for the draw. The lottery consisted in making the draw depending on the building and the number of the apartment

A symbolic signing ceremony of the contracts of provision was organized on February 05, 2018 at the Sicap Liberty Town Hall in the presence of the YOU Foundation with Mrs. Ohoven and Claudia Jerger, Casa Orascom with Mr. Stefan Zingerle of the Ministry of Urbanism with Mrs Soumaré Technical Advisor of the Minister and the representatives of the population as well as notables.
This is a « Housing Provision Agreement » signed between the beneficiary and SOREBA (Baraka Reconstruction Society) represented by its Managing Director Mr. Stefan Zingerle.

The duration of the agreement is 15 years for all lessees and the amount of the monthly special compensation to be paid in return for the provision differs according to the type of apartment (F1, F2, F3 and F4).
For the first time in their lives, these populations will have a document certifying that the apartment they occupy will be their property after 15 years of rental.

The architectural plans are in the final phase and the start of the works is officially scheduled for March 15, 2018. The safety standards of the trail by the zinc fence of the construction site began to be installed at the football field in Baraka.

A manual describing the whole process of reconstruction called « Cité Baraka » is being developed to be popularized or duplicated in the future in other horizons of the world for another slum reconstruction project.

Les travaux de construction vont enfin démarrer à Baraka sur la base des travaux préliminaires des étudiants en architecture de l’École des arts de Düsseldorf Peter Behrens et l’Association des architectes allemands.

Baraka va changer complètement de visage, le Master plan, développé par des étudiants allemands d’architecture pour un nouveau quartier lié aux besoins de la population, « Baraka Nouveau » va s’ouvrir non seulement à ses voisins, mais aussi vers l’extérieur.

Une loterie avait été organisée en Septembre 2017 à la Mairie de Sicap Liberté pour choisir le type d’appartement et un règlement intérieur à lire. Et chaque famille ou un représentant muni de sa carte identité nationale était présent pour le tirage. La loterie consistait à faire le tirage en fonction du bâtiment et du numéro de l’appartement

Une cérémonie de signature symbolique des contrats de mises à disposition a été organisée le 05 Février 2018 à la Mairie de Sicap Liberté en présence de la YOU Foundation avec Madame Ohoven et Claudia Jerger, de Casa Orascom avec Monsieur Stefan Zingerle du Ministère de l’Urbanisme avec Madame Soumaré Conseillère Technique du Ministre et les représentants de la population ainsi que des notables.
Il s’agit d’une « Convention de mise à disposition d’un logement » signée entre le bénéficiaire et SOREBA (Société de Reconstruction de Baraka) représenté par son Directeur Général Monsieur Stefan Zingerle.

La durée de la convention est de 15 ans pour tous les preneurs et montant de l’indemnité spéciale mensuelle à verser en contrepartie de la mise à disposition diffère selon le type d’appartement (F1, F2, F3 et F4).

Pour la première fois de leur vie, ces populations auront un document qui atteste que l’appartement qu’ils occupent sera leur propriété au bout de 15 ans de location.
Les plans d’architectures sont en phase finale et le début des travaux est prévu officiellement le 15 Mars 2018. Les normes de sécurité du sentier par la clôture en zinc du lieu de construction ont commencé à être installées au terrain de football à Baraka.

Un manuel qui décrit tout ce processus de reconstruction dénommé « Cité Baraka » est en train d’être élaboré pour être vulgarisé ou dupliqué dans le futur dans d’autres horizons du monde pour un autre projet de reconstruction de bidonvilles.
