The consequences of the rainy season and floods in Baraka

As the saying goes « one´s happiness is the misfortune of others ». During the rainy season this maxim came true. When peasants and farmers are waiting for the first rain in suspense during wintertime, others are concerned. At the start of the rainy season, the urban Dakar capital was sleeping with half-closed eyes in certain flood zones. This was also the case for the inhabitants of Baraka. In this article, we will make a rudimentary description of the problems faced by the inhabitants of the city during the rainy season.
