Since the recognition of the primary school of Baraka in 2012, the women who are at the heart of the generative activities there sell fruit juice and sweets. Students are kept in the school yard at recess times and this allows these six women to do their activities in the school at these times.
We often hear « it takes a lot of money to start a business »; it’s wrong. There are many ways to create your own project. This is what the YOU FOUNDATION understood by putting in place a strategy to help Baraka artisans, especially women traders and processors of local products.
Women processors of local products and women vendors as well as women restorers are not left behind, they also take the training in management and marketing initiated by the YOU Foundation. We went to meet some of them to know their opinion on this training:
